In reference to the homicide which occurred yesterday, Nov. 30ᵗʰ, 2020, on southbound I-170 at the Olive Blvd. exit, the victim has been identified as:
Whitted, Kristen R.
Female, 46 years of age
11700 Blk Minot Drive
Bridgeton, MO 63044
As noted previously, yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:00pm two vehicles travelling south on I-170 from the area of Page Avenue towards I-64 were exchanging gunshots. Apparently, Ms. Whitted’s vehicle came within their line of fire. Ms. Whitted appears to be an innocent victim.
On-scene investigators determined that the victim suffered one gunshot wound, however, the exact cause of death has yet to be determined by the St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s office. The victim was alone in her vehicle and no one else was injured.
Ms. Whitted’s family provided the following statement about this tragedy and photos included below:
“Kristen always strived for more knowledge, wanting to know more about everything. Never settling on just the surface of a situation. She always got the most out of everything. It showed in her job and her cooking. She never stopped and never settled. Always moving and taking others along with her, it made it easy to open up to her. She was always available and gave an ear to all.”
