MAJOR CASE SQUAD CALLED TO INVESTIGATE
SUSPICIOUS DEATH IN LINCOLN COUNTY
On Sunday July 1, 2018 at approximately 10:00 AM, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call for a suspicious death at Elsberry Motel and Lodge, located at 3407 North Highway 79. Upon arrival, officers found a female subject, inside of the motel room, deceased under suspicious circumstances. The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad was requested by Sheriff John Cottle, to assist with the investigation. Captain Don Thurman of the St. Charles Police Department, is the deputy commander assigned.
The victim is a white female in her late twenties, will not have her name released until all family members are properly notified. The Major Case Squad is seeking any information from the community to assist in identifying those responsible.
