MAJOR CASE SQUAD INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE IN WELLSTON
UPDATE – 08/10/2023 – 4:30 P.M.
The Major Case Squad has disbanded after their investigation into an assault and homicide that occurred at 8:40 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023 in the 6100 block of Page Ave.
The Major Case Squad has developed a person of interest and charges are pending with St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office. Investigators need help from anyone who may have witnessed, or have information that can help the victims and their families seek justice in this case.
On August 5, shots were fired into a vehicle with three occupants killing one 30-year-old pregnant woman, and injuring another 30-year-old woman. The investigation has revealed the women appear to have been caught in the line of fire of a shooting and do not appear to have any connection to the shooter.
The Major Case Squad strongly encourages anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS (8477), or the North County Police Cooperative at 314-428-7374.
