MAJOR CASE SQUAD CALLED TO INVESTIGATE
HOMICIDE IN CALVERTON PARK
On Sunday, March 10, 2019 at approximately 12:55 AM, the Calverton Park Police Department responded to a call for a welfare check in the 40 block of Grether Ave. Upon arrival, officer’s found a subject deceased with multiple gunshot wounds inside the residence. The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad was requested by Chief James Buchanan to assist with the investigation. Lt. Dennis DeHart, of the Florissant Police Department, was the deputy commander assigned to the investigation.
The deceased was identified as Demetria Howard, a 23 year old female who resided at the residence.
After a thorough investigation, The Major Case Squad, consisting of 19 investigators, identified a person of interest who confessed to his involvement in the homicide.
St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Perry Green, age 24 of Ferguson, MO., with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Green is being held at the St. Louis County Department of Corrections on a $500,000 cash only bond.
