On Sunday January 6, 2024, at approximately 1:04PM hours, the Cahokia Heights Police Department received a call of shooting and male subject shot in a home in the 700 block of Mildred Ave., Cahokia Heights, Illinois. The male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The decedent is identified as:
Bradford L Readus, Black Male, 22 years of age from Memphis, Tennessee.
The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has been activated to investigate this matter. At this time, approximately 15 investigators from the Major Case Squad are working on this investigation. Investigators are actively working leads in order to identify the person(s) responsible for this heinous crime and bring them to justice.
