MAJOR CASE SQUAD MAKES ARREST IN HOMICIDE
On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad detectives arrested an individual for the Murder of a juvenile in the 7800 block of Page Ave. The suspect has been fully identified as Erric Damond Boyd, 31 years of age, of St. Louis, Missouri.
The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad presented their investigation to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office Thursday and the following charges were issued:
COUNT I: Murder, 2nd Degree – Class A Felony
COUNT II: Armed Criminal Action – Unclassified Felony
COUNT III: Assault 2nd Degree – Class D Felony
COUNT IV: Armed Criminal Action – Unclassified Felony
COUNT V: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm – Class D Felony
The case originated when the Pagedale Police Department received a call for shots fired in the 7800 block of Page Ave. Wednesday afternoon. Responding officers found a female victim of non-life threatening gunshot wounds on the scene. As a result of the initial investigation, a second gunshot victim, a juvenile male, was discovered deceased at the scene. The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad was activated and Boyd was identified and taken into custody May 18, 2022. The intensive investigative effort and cooperation with the public led to the quick and successful resolution to such a tragic crime.
Erric Damond Boyd is currently being held at the St. Louis County Justice Center on a $750,000 cash only bond.
