MAJOR CASE SQUAD CALLED TO INVESTIGATE
OVERLAND HOMICIDE
On Monday, January 14th, 2019 at approximately 7:15pm the Overland Police Department responded to a call for shots fired and a person down. Upon arrival Officers found a subject, who was the apparent victim of a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Mercy ER and pronounced dead. The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad was requested to assist with the investigation. Captain Steve Branham, of the Overland Police Department, is the deputy commander assigned.
The victim is identified as:
Justice Devaun Johnson, 18 Years of Age from Herculaneum Missouri
Currently 16 investigators with the Major Case Squad are investigating the incident. The Major Case Squad is seeking any information from the community to assist in identifying those responsible.
