MAJOR CASE SQUAD IDENTIFIES VICTIMS
IN VINITA PARK DOUBLE HOMICIDE
On Sunday, October 21, 2018 at approximately 1:00 AM, the North County Police Cooperative responded to a call for a shooting in the 2100 block of Penfield. Upon arrival, officers found two subjects, who were the apparent victims of gunshot wounds, deceased at the scene. The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad has identified the two victims as:
Tashonda Nesbitt, 35-year-old, black female of the 2100 block of Penfield; and
Vernon Stewart, Jr., 45-year-old, black male of the 2100 block of Penfield.
Both victims died as a result of their gunshot wounds.
The Major Case Squad is seeking any information from the community to assist in identifying those responsible.
