Major Case Squad Called To Investigate Homicide in Alton, IL

On Sunday, August 26, 2018, the Greater St Louis Major Case Squad was activated to assist the Alton Police Department with the investigation into the apparent Homicide of Keron Hickman. 28 investigators from 17 different agencies assisted in this investigation. Through this investigation, 5 suspects were identified. 3 of the 5 suspects have been apprehended at this time. The facts of the investigation were presented to the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office and the following arrest warrants were issued:

Markell J. Taylor

• First Degree Murder
• Attempt First Degree Murder
• Aggravated Battery with a Firearm
• Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Jordan T. Jackson

• First Degree Murder
• Attempt First Degree Murder
• Aggravated Battery with a Firearm
• Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
• Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon

Kiondo Jones

• Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Daelin Hampton

• Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Bryanna L. Kingcade

• Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon

Markell Taylor, Kiondo Jones, and Bryanna Kingcade are in custody, and being held at the Alton Police Department. Jordan Jackson and Daelin Hampton are at large.
