MAJOR CASE SQUAD CALLED TO INVESTIGATE Homicide in Wellston, MO
On Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 at approximately 11:00pm the North County Police Cooperative responded to a call for a shooting on the 6000 block of Julian Ave. Upon arrival officers found a subject, who was the apparent victim of gunshot wounds, deceased at the scene. A second subject was found nearby who was also the apparent victim of a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where his condition is currently unknown. The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad was requested by Chief Tim Swope, to assist with the investigation, Lieutenant Jack Abell is the deputy commander assigned.
Currently several investigators with the Major Case Squad are investigating the incident. Neither the deceased nor the surviving victims’ names will be released until all family members are properly notified. The Major Case Squad is seeking any information from the community to assist in identifying those responsible.
