Major Case Squad activated to investigate Lincoln County Homicide
A 44 year old man from Lincoln County, identified as Christopher Wright, was found stabbed to death on Sunday following a call for a fight on Grizzlys Lane located in Lincoln County. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call just after 4:30pm and made the discovery. The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis was called in to investigate.
During the investigation the Major Case Squad received a number of tips which led investigators to the possible location of 2 persons of interest in the investigation, previously identified as Alex B. Kresting and Monica L. Deroy.
On Tuesday evening at approximately 9:30pm, investigators located and arrested Alex B. Kresting and Monica L. Deroy in a rural area of Lincoln County without incident. The Ford Taurus investigators were looking for was also located.
The Major Case Squad is still investigating the incident and will be seeking charges with the Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
