St. Louis Major Case Squad Investigations

Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis
NEWS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 5, 2025 – 9:00 PM

Investigation 25-828

UPDATE:

The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis assures the citizens of the Village of Dupo and surrounding communities that we are fully dedicated to conducting a comprehensive investigation and pursuing all leads. Our investigators are actively working, and I am confident that we will achieve a resolution that provides clarity and answers to all parties involved.

While the Major Case Squad has taken the lead, I want to commend the Dupo School District, Police Chief Dennis Plew, and the Dupo Police Department for their exceptional efforts in ensuring security and prioritizing the safety of everyone. Their swift and professional response has been commendable.

As a native of Dupo, I am personally invested in seeing this case come to a positive resolution. This situation serves as a reminder that incidents like these can happen anywhere. However, with the dedication and expertise of the Major Case Squad—comprising some of the finest detectives in the Metro St. Louis area—I have full confidence that justice will be served.

Additionally, investigators have been in communication with the St. Clair County State’s Attorney James Gomric’s office in preparation for presenting the investigation to their office very soon.

While I cannot disclose specific details of the ongoing investigation, I assure the public that our investigators have worked diligently and remain committed to bringing this case to a close.

Updated Press Releases will be posted on the Major Case Squad X (formally Twitter) page.
