Suspects: Sean Clemon, Dominque Maxwell, Perry Harris, and Frank Smith
The Bridgeton Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Leroy Allen. Just after 6:00pm, police received a call of shots fired in Matthews Park, located on Ayrshire Drive. Leroy Allen (age 37) was found inside the park deceased from gunshot wounds. Another man (age 42) was also found in the park with non-life-threatening injuries. A third man (age 39) later walked into an emergency room with non-life-threatening injuries from that shooting. There had been a large gathering at Matthew's Park prior to the shooting.
With the assistance of this investigation, it was determined Leroy Allen was killed as part of a leadership dispute at a Gangster Disciples meeting. Federal criminal charges were brought against the following individuals in Leroy’s death:
Sean Clemon (age 50)
Dominque Maxwell (age 28)
Perry Harris (age 29)
Frank Smith (age 47)
