The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the murder of Lundy Blue. At approximately 10:48pm, deputies were dispatched to MetroLink Station at 5th and Missouri Avenue in East St. Louis for a report of a person shot either on the platform or on the train. Lundy Blue (age 18) was located nearby and transported to the hospital where he died.
Catrell Dent (age 17) was charged with First Degree Murder and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon in this case. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
